www.letterboxing.org - Will it EVER be updated?

From: (mporter@pobox.com) | Date: 2001-07-30 19:28:44 UTC
I've posted clues here - sent e-mails to the webmaster at
www.letterboxing.org - Any ideas on what else I should be trying? I
can't even seem to get a 'hold your horses' response. Isn't one of
the points of having www.letterboxing.org to be able to go to a
central place to look for new lboxes, or am I missing something...

News flash - It isn't like you're paying for a service here. Everyone on the
Letterboxing.org site has full-time jobs. Patience my friend.

(I'm not associated with the Letterboxing.org folks. Just someone who "knows
how it is.")

Jeremy

HI Bummer, Have you checked the "What's New" page on the LbNA site? That
usually has the newer boxes that the WebMasters haven't had a chance to post
yet.

Happy Hunting,

His box seems to be listed on the What's New page. Mporter: did you
let the webmasters know what County the box is in? That helps.

Mr. Irish,

If the Letterboxing.org folks spent less time with their family and friends
giving them more time to work on the www.letterboxing.org site these newbies
wouldn't be confused. Time these folks got their priorities straight! Maybe
they ought to PAY US to go to the site. Yes, they should sell all their
belongings, move under a bridge. They can use the public library computers
to keep the www.letterboxing.org site updated. They don't need a life we
need clues! Okay?

Glenn

Bummer,
Every clue I ever posted and any question I ever asked has been
reponded to very quickly. The webmaster to an incredible job here.
Thank you webmasters.

Hey, Mick! Sorry for the delay in getting Holy Jim Falls up on the
California page. I've been meaning to post a congrats: beautiful web
page design ( http://www.terikahandesign.com/lbox/holyjim1.htm )! How
did you do that title script with the underlying shadowing? Awesome!

One of the problems with summer is, well, summer! There are a ton of
letterboxes getting planted (over 100 so far for July), but the
secretive cabal of webmasters is also doing........summer stuff.
We'll getcha up and linked asap, promise!

Jay, off to the spanish-speaking beaches of CT

I always go to the "What's New" icon to see what's new!

Very kind of you to say, Jay. Thanks. I used Adobe LiveMotion for
the graphics, Caslon font, and I assembled the pages in MS
FrontPage2000.

I fully understand about summertime schedules and all, and I realize
that I should have checked out the What's New section before ruffling
so many feathers. Lots of people have been very um, ...spirited, in
their desire to edify me and I thank them one and all.

Enjoy CT. I was born and raised there, and the current heat wave
should be enough to prevent you from wanting to go back for a while.
A pity you couldn't see it in the fall. It can be breathtaking.

Thanks again,
